Green Jobs and Forest Education
We need skilled personnel to adapt European forests to climate change. The same goes for managing society's increasing demands for forest ecosystem services.

Yet, according to the latest State of Europe’s Forests report, there was a decrease in Green Jobs in the forest sector. Forest education and work opportunities along the whole value chain need to match. Because fitting education inspires new attractive job opportunities to many in the forest-based sector.

What are Green Forest Jobs?
“Green Forest Jobs provide forest-related goods and services while meeting the requirements of sustainable forest management and decent work.”
The definition was adopted by the Expert Level Meeting in Bonn, 2022.
